Although it can be, it is not necessary
that your calling be your profession,
what it is, is your soul based, or spiritual
reason for being alive, your spiritual
purpose, your spiritual mission.
I spent most of my life ignoring it,
until literally, half paralyzed, facing
intricate spinal surgery, one Sunday
morning, in a hastily arranged operation
to save my life, I gained awareness, as
outlined in Chapter One of Finding
God On The Train – The Book, unfolding
on the left-hand sidebar of the blog.
It was not for profit that I began this
effort, it was, quite frankly, for personal,
spiritual salvation. It was, it is, it will
always be, my true calling in this life.
So perhaps you too, like me, maybe a
bit of a procrastinator, having been
avoiding the signs, and need a reminder
to wake up to your true calling, or as I now
refer to it, your authentic, purposeful life.
Below, I offer another reminder.
LIFE CALLING?
Often the revelation we seek has been
within us all along, just beneath the
surface of our awareness, emerging
from time to time to see if we might
be prepared, or ready, to listen and
absorb the details of our true destiny,
our calling.
At times, our internal messenger grows
impatient with our slow progress,
straining to grab our attention
through assorted dreams, coincidences,
synchronicities, and all manner of clues;
and when all else fails, creating a delicate
obsession no one, but perhaps us, could
fail to ascertain.
Ok, I know, you know, we all already know
our true calling in life – it’s what we are
doing right now – perhaps, maybe, could
be, hope it is – or not: if not, it may behoove
us to check back in within and ensure our
messenger does not, in desperation,
throw in the towel.
