I overslept this morning and did not have
the chance to wake up early, take the dogs
out, write Ann's note, and get her up on
time. I decided I would delay the writing
of Ann's note and focus on the other tasks
at hand.
By the time I got around to the note writing,
sitting in my chair in our very chilly backyard
surrounded by cold dogs who wanted to go
inside, time for note writing was running
out and I gave up after a few minutes of
confusion when nothing came to me,
decided to take the dogs inside and possibly
just skip the note, letting this hectic morning
unfold on its own.
As I entered the house the first line of the
note below titled For All We Have came to
mind and I thought, "I don't really have time
for this now, " but grabbed my paper and pen
and just wrote quickly what came to mind
and in two minutes I completed the note below.
I placed the note on Ann's night stand as she
was getting up content on having something
to offer her this morning.
I decided to survey my unpublished notes
to see if I had something with more impact to
offer as my daily blog post - went on my
computer and the email of a blog post I had
written on December 10, 2010 titled Prayer
For The Season was open on my screen.
First I was puzzled why this two year old
email of a post had opened up by chance
until I took a moment to read it and tears
came to my eyes. I shook my head realizing
once more there are no coincidences, just
divine messages we pay attention to or not,
for here on my screen was a post that expanded
beautifully on what was to be the message of
my day and the Finding God On The Train
Daily Note On Enlightenment.
As Ann was leaving she stopped and said,
"thank you for the beautiful note this morning,
it was just what I needed." So below I publish
this mornings note along with a repost of the
December offering for all of us, including me,
who may need to hear the message once more.
Love, G.
FOR ALL WE HAVE
Today let us be happy for what we have,
for the prosperity and plenty we have
already received, for the abundance
we partake in each and every day
and be grateful.
Today let us be happy for all we have
in our lives, for the ones we love and
cherish, for the friends and neighbors
who sustain and give us comfort,
for the wonderful communities we
are blessed to be a part of, for all
we know and love.
Today let us be happy for the work
we have been asked to do, for the
challenges, for the mountains left to
climb, for the highs and for the lows,
for the chance to live productively.
Today let us be happy!

PRAYER FOR THE SEASON -
AFFIRMATIVE THOUGHT -
DAILY POST OF ENLIGHTENMENT -
DECEMBER 10, 2010
Posted: 08 Dec 2010 06:11 AM PST
Here in Fredericksburg, Virginia it was very
cold this morning as I took Zephyr our Collie
and Gracie our Cavanese out for their morning
constitutional. As I came back into our heated
house I could only be grateful for the abundance
of our lives and wrote down this Affirmative
Thought that I would like to share.
Prayer For The Season
Today let our prayer be one of thanks
for the abundance of our lives –
for the warmth of a heated home
on a cold December morning –
for the lives of those we love
and hold dear – for our freedom
to become who we wish to be.
Today let our prayer be one of hope
for all who are without –
for all those who need the basics –
for all those suffering from not enough
in their hearts, minds, or souls –
may they be filled with plenty.
Today let our prayer be one of peace
and joy for all families,
communities, and countries,
for the world and the universe –
let joy and peace be always available
by a single heartfelt thought.
Season’s Greetings!

Thank you for reading.
