NEW AND INNOVATIVE

 

Today let us search for new and

            innovative ways of doing what has

become rote and routine in our lives -

            breaking beyond the standard,

the expected into the fresh and creative,

            the new and dynamic.

 

Today let us think out of the box and

            and envision solutions and strategies

that generate excitement, enthusiasm,

            breathing fresh life and vitality –

pushing past the norm and grabbing

            a hold of the perspective not yet

considered or entertained as viable.

 

Today let us empower ourselves and

            others to reach for the momentous,

for the monumental – to embolden

            the mundane with vibrancy – vim –

vigor – recapturing our creative

            spirit as true artists of life.

With the writing of Finding God On The Train, 

I have journeyed through the spiritual landscape

offering my personal experience while working

all along to relate it to New Thought and the mystical 

wisdom studies proffered through the ages. But our

next stop, Chapter Twelve is not for the faint of heart

or the occasional sojourner in the spiritual realm.

 

As I have laid out in several earlier posts, we are

now proposing that within you, me, each of us, even

the not so good of us, is our own internal divinity -

or soul that reflects our God nature, our  potential,  

and our power. For many, this may be a reasonable 

proposal, but for others, this may be anathema and

blasphemy. I say this in case anyone needs to detrain

before it gets any hotter. 

 

As I turn my sights on Chapter Twelve, titled

PHILOSOPHY, SCIENCE, AND MYSTICISM -

THREE PERSPECTIVES ON GOD, I go through a

creative process where I open myself  up to divine

guidance as I dive into all I have ever read, thought,

written, or published  on the subject. Usually this

immersion process allows for my total consciousness

including - what I am aware of and what I am unaware

of  - to ruminate, sift for clues, connections, sort of

chew on the cud of possibilities,  in hope of discovering

a new way of viewing or theorizing on what may actually

be happening. I, of course meditate and pray on the

subject in hopes of  receiving added guidance or

clarification on what I have already received. 

 

The Meditation Guidance below reflects a response,

I have recently transcribed, when asking for help

understanding this topic, in hopes of revealing a  

fresh perspective. The guidance opens with what

might be considered an excellent approach for

pursuing any creative activity where we are

encouraged to stay focused for clues and insights. 

But again, I am brought back to Heisenberg's 

Quantum concept of "Potentia" that I discussed

in earlier posts,where infinite possibilities exist

waiting for the collapsing of conscious focus. 

 

I do not think I am ready to espouse a new theory

regrading internal divinity, but I am coming 

closer to understanding what our real divine 

potential may actually be as it relates to our

personal and God consciousness: if we were

amenable to accepting it and harnessing its 

power. So I am still looking at the possibilities. 

Any clues you might want to offer?

 

                    

OPEN TO THE POSSIBILITIES

 

Open yourself to the possibilities that surround you,

be observant at this time for clues, for insights

that will spark your thinking and send you in a

creative direction. Allow this wisdom to move

through you, as you determine the next step.

 

Don’t be afraid to explore and add your opinions

and directions to the unfolding work. Peer inside

deeply and you may see the connection between

action and tangible creation. Surely, all of this

leads to your own God nature – your own unique

divinity and how it connects to all that exists

 

Do not underestimate the power of the mind and

this connection as a tool for progress, creation,

forming your vision into a reality. Possibly all

existence is but a thought in consciousness waiting

to be realized – focused on and brought to life.

 

Possibly there are infinite possibilities at each

moment existing in potential, waiting for the

collapsing of conscious focus. Search for the

underpinnings, the order, the method God

uses to create with us – create your own theory

and possibly provide a new insight into cocreation.

THE FUTURE

 

The future is based on your vision of it –

your clearly conveyed intention held

with emotion and faith – it is not

chance or happenstance or  coincidence,

only the destiny set in motion by your

own thoughts fueled by your desire.

 

The future is conceived within and

carried forth through positive

unconflicted thought – formed in

consciousness – inspired by feelings

and set in motion by intense belief –

remaining in potential, waiting for

you to arrive and receive.

 

Today work diligently preparing this

future through right thinking,

affirmations, envisioning, daydreaming,

and creative thought until it is created

and set in stone – a living, thriving

reality of your own making.

I know your thinking the same thing that I thought when I wrote

this note below  - come on man, not this morning - I have a busy

day planned with lots to do and I don't really need this Taoist

"go with the flow" stuff when I am raring to get things done.

 

At least in the western world, and probably the remainder that

has succumb to our frantic  culture,  letting the day roll on

without interference is seen as a  prescription for slough rather

than enlightenment. Yet, almost every enlightened teacher has

pointed to this very need to release our ego involvement and allow

the forces that be to work with  us in harmony as we proceed

through the day.

 

The Affirmative Thought below is a good starting point and a

reminder to practice letting go and trusting in the universe,

at least for today. 

 

 

                  LET THIS DAY BE

 

Let this day be as it was meant to be

without badgering it, maneuvering it,

or forcing it to your will – instead let

the day unfold and reveal its own pace,

its own wisdom, its divine direction.

 

Let this day unfold without strategy,

without plan allowing it to create

as it encounters – to meander through

the issues, obstacles, and demands

picking and choosing which battle

to engage in – what fire needs tending –

leaving the remainder for another day.

 

Let this day refocus you – bringing

you back from your life being lived

in the future or relived in the past

and simply allow you to rejoin

you now – fully living this day

awake, tuned in, and engaged.

Let us reveal our desires and passions

    today, breaking free from our long

held expectations and considerations,

    and instead, take to the air, allowing

the true essence of our natures to

soar in full flight – wings outstretched

    sailing on our own infatuation.

 

Let us reveal our desires and passions

    today, quieting our egos sense of

impropriety and stern warnings to

    return to the appropriate – letting

the false roles we have assumed in

    this journey of life to fall away

like loose garments no longer

    serving a purpose.

    today – living full – laughing loud –

totally engaged plucking the fruits of

    life from its abundant tree – made

tipsy from the nectar of living without

restraint – consumed in being just alive.

As we discussed yesterday, what if humankind

is still in the process of evolution, where the focus

is no longer on physical development, but instead

is centered on the refinement and improvement

of our level of personal consciousness?

 

Taking this a bit further, what if our next

evolutionary step is a movement towards 

overcoming our ego dominance and attaining

what some would call - God like  qualities -

such as love, kindness, compassion, a collective

sense of oneness, and empathy along with the

powers to cocreate freely our  lives through

conscious intention supported by our own access

to our divine natures? In other words, we evolve

into our true God natures.

 

The meditation guidance below titled True God

Qualities addresses this potential; clearly outlining

the rationale for this evolutionary step and

highlighting what qualities we might expect

to encounter.

 

This is a concept that has been addressed by

others, as noted by the the work of Pierre 

Teilhard de Chardin - Jesuit Father and

distinguished paleontologist who over sixty

years ago addressed this very theory in his

landmark work The Phenomenon Of Man.

 

My guidance seems to echo the same sentiments.

Is it plausible? Is this where the current spiritual 

awakening is leading us? I believe this is the case.

TRUE GOD QUALITIES

 

We are here to assume our true God qualities

and powers by overcoming our own propensity

for negative thought, neglect, hopelessness and

evil by marshaling our divine wills towards

greater achievements, authentic living, peak

spiritual experience,  and our connection with God –

refueling our potential to live beyond the illusion

of material pleasure and grasp the greater good

of collective consciousness.

 

We are here to transcend - to transform beyond

our infantile focus on the acquisition of pleasure

and the avoidance of pain – to reach a pinnacle

of human excellence and evolution ensuring our

God powers and qualities are recognized and

grasped by those who wish to go on growing,

becoming, moving towards their authentic

natures.

 

We are here to create heaven on earth - not hell

as it appears many are engaged with today –

our conscious focus as a collective humankind

on this heaven allows us to move forward, grow,

and assume our true birthright – our authentic

God nature of power – cocreation – and love in

balance  - all supported by positive purposeful 

action.

 

Although many have careened in the opposite

direction there are a growing number of those

who have grasped this message and are moving

in this divine direction – working hard to prepare

themselves consciously for the catharsis of heaven

focused living.

EXTEND A HAND

 

Extend a hand to assist another who is

            in need today, allowing kindness

and sympathy to flow freely from

            you, and through you, as you do

God’s work of easing the suffering

            in the world.

 

Extend a prayer to assist another who

            is in need today, holding their

potential and possible restoration

            in consciousness, joining others in

a collective effort to seek the greater

            good through universal alignment.

 

Extend your hope to assist another

            who is in need today – maintaining

a vision of faith and grace, powerful

            enough to alleviate their distress

and see them through to a new day.

This week we have discussed overcoming being

timid and taking control of our lives - both reflecting

major themes in the morning notes I have written

for Ann this week,  as she deals with work stress,

her desire for a life change/possible retirement,

and the reality of her upcoming surgery.

 

As much as these notes provide guidance for Ann,  

I have also found them personally instructive,

and since they seem to highlight the challenges

we all face in managing our lives on a daily basis. 

publishing them on the blog. 

 

Today's Affirmative Thought, listed below, titled

Finding Your Way continues on with this theme

and seems to complete the series. As we grow

in life experience,  we all learn that finding our way

takes perseverance, foresight, and initiative, but

most of all, it takes fortitude - the mental strength

to endure adversity.

 

As Ann and I discussed this note before she left

for work this morning, we reflected on how some

people are like extreme sports stars when it comes

to approaching life, willing to snowboard off the cliff

for the thrill of arriving at their desired destination.

Ann refers to me as one of these extreme life

enthusiasts, who will careen off the cliff in search 

of some pursued outcome.

 

I admit this is true, but have to add that often

in mid-air, I realize I am not quite sure how to land

in one piece. Ann describes herself as the person 

who stands on the edge of the cliff wanting to go

down below to where a new and better life waits,

but wonders if there is a safer way  down - only

to realize that the bus has left, no alternative trails

exist, and the only way down is by taking the

leap of faith.

 

I contend, depending on where we are in our lives, 

we have all at one time or the other lingered too long

on the precipice waiting for the courage to jump. 

Often life provides an avalanche that forces our 

decision but sometimes we linger much too long. 

 

Finding our way in the world is a learning experience.

At first, we hope it will be much easier than it actually

is, but step by step we venture out and learn we have

all the tools we need for successful living - all the courage

we need to accept nothing but our dream realized 

and accomplished.  

 

FINDING YOUR WAY

 

Finding your way in the world takes 

    perseverance and foresight –

clearly knowing what it is you desire, 

    clarifying your intentions, and then 

laying out a plan to make it all

    become a reality.

 

Finding your way in the world takes 

    initiative – being prepared to embark

on bold new ventures – the willingness 

    to move beyond doubt, fear, or confusion

and into the clarity and the firmness

    of will, fully one with the creation

of your purpose and mission.

 

Finding your way in the world takes 

    fortitude – the mental strength needed 

to endure adversity when common sense 

    says otherwise – to accept nothing

but your dream realized and accomplished.

Control for many of us is a word producing mixed

emotional responses. We can be in control - which

is thought of as positive - or out of control or trying

to gain control. Often, we resist being controlled

and feel somewhat guilty when we are considered

controlling. Today's Affirmative Thought echoes 

yesterday's guidance to avoid being timid and

offers the next logical step:  the dire need for us

to take control of our lives. 

 

It is rather easy to relinquish control of our lives 

to our employers, mates, family, fears, or to our egos.

The need to please others -  be accepted, or be

considered "normal" -  forces us to whittle away 

at our own life control and give away the reins

of our lives to others.

 

What I am proposing with the note below is that

our personal search for enlightenment and spiritual

transcendence is dependent on achieving and living

an authentic and purposeful life.  If we have relinquished 

control of this life, then living an authentic spiritual

life is not possible since we have strayed so far from

our personal truth and the path we need to be on.

 

You, me, each of us needs to step up and ensure

we are in control when it comes to managing

the direction and purpose of our life/lives.

No one else but us - divinely inspired - can guide 

our own life towards its true destination.

So today, let's all strive to take control of our life,

ensuring our life happens as we wish. 

 

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE

 

Take control of your life today by

refusing to allow your own fears, or

the good intentions of others, to frame

how you live, what you do, and the

way you approach your future –

and instead, take hold of the reins

adjusting the momentum as you so

please.

 

Take control of your life today knowing

only you have the insights, intuition,

and divine connection to lead the way –

trust your instincts as you prepare

the way and clear the path to your

destiny – your divine vision.

 

Take control of your life today and

regain the feeling of strength, confidence,

and assurance – the balance – that

arrives from charting your own course –

clearing your own way – making your

life happen as you wish.

Every morning I write Ann, my wife of two months

now,  a brief Affirmative Note that I deliver with her 

morning tea, many of which I have published on this

blog. I have been doing this for years and have hundreds

of notes that I plan to publish one of these days.

 

Before I write the note, I pray and let God know

I am writing this note to Ann and ask for guidance,

and when it comes, I write what is offered without

editing.

 

This morning was no different, and when I asked

for guidance I received this phrase - "there is no need

to be timid." I often question what I have been given

if it makes no sense to me, and this morning I was just 

confused regarding how this applied to Ann's life.

 

But when the line keeps coming, I acquiesce and start

writing. I jotted down the note below and wrote Ann

a little note at the end conveying that I was not sure 

what this meant but it seemed to be meant for her.

 

As Ann was leaving the house, she turned to me,

putting the note in her handbag and said, it is as

if you had crawled into my head with this note.

Ann relayed that she had not told me what was

going on at work, but she had been praying intensely

this morning before getting out of bed for an answer 

to a work problem - and this note was the answer.

 

I admitted that I was confused when I received

the message and questioned its validity, but as usual,

it appears to have been the message that she needed

to be received. I half-jokingly said, I am just the

messenger and write what I receive, which is truly

what I do most of the time. 

 

Publishing this note today, I believe it speaks to all

of us who have the answer, know the way, would be

able to implement the needed solution, if only we would

be less timid.  What I am saying here is that this note 

clearly states to Ann, you, me, and all of us that

it is time for us to assert ourselves, whether it is

in our spiritual, family, work, or social lives -

and by so doing stand up and proceed when

we know we are on the right path. 

 

I believe God wants us to flourish and get what

we are rightfully entitled. I know there are a few

things in my life that I am being too timid about

and have decided to press through my hesitation

and self-doubt and get on with what needs to be done.

Perhaps you too may also need to take a more

assertive approach today.

 

Here is some help.

 

NO NEED TO BE TIMID

 

There is no need to be timid when

you know you are on the right path –

when you have the right answer –

the solution that is needed  - instead

assert yourself and ensure you

have been heard.

 

There is no need to be timid when

you are ready and able to lead the way,

see clearly what needs to be accomplished

and have a plan for bringing it to life.

 

There is no need to be timid when

you have the answer – have the abilities

and skills to turn it into a viable solution –

without concern or fear of failure.

 

There is no need to be timid today,

so be prepared to move forward in

your preferred direction – pushing

past the confusion of others as you

improve life for all concerned.
