Life is always so much easier when you are living your life
on purpose. The phrase "on purpose" takes me back to
my childhood growing up in Philadelphia when kids could
play freely on the streets, and often when you did something
considered mean or annoying the offended would yell out -
"you did that on purpose." I am adapting the phrase in this
context to refer to living a purposeful authentic life - living
your purpose - on purpose and with purpose. That is, living
the life that will fulfill your spiritual nature - your divine
calling - and doing it intentionally. This purposeful
existence is often referred to as following "your dream."
It took me over three years to recognize, accept, and actually
go on to live my purpose. Honestly, it was not always pleasant
as my divine self or soul literally pushed me towards the cliff
so I would finally take the leap of faith. It was the greatest gift
I have ever given myself.
Ann is struggling with her purpose, and in her anguish I get to
revisit my transition. I wrote this note below titled Your Dream
for her, to hopefully ease her way towards that cliff. May it assist
all those who are preparing to take the leap.
YOUR DREAM
Strive to envision your dream
and live it existing high above
the fray of daily existence –
let go to God the anxieties
and turmoil of this fight below –
replacing them with a sense
of pure peace knowing you
have found the way.
Strive to envision your dream
and trust that beneath the dust
of the mayhem on the road
you now travel, it leads by design
to a place of pure unfolding –
your dream realized –
your heaven on earth.
Strive to envision your dream
living it now – choosing it now –
refusing to wait or cooperate
with what appears to be
realistic, sensible, or secure –
and with all your heart
and a running start – leap!
